3 Ways To Spice Up Your Bone Broth This Fall

The fall equinox, the day where we have equal parts day and night all across the world, is upon us. It’s a day of complete balance.  Here at Brodo, nothing makes us feel more balanced than sipping a delicious cup of broth, so we’ve complied our favorite drink recipes, from our NYC broth shops. You can easily recreate and enjoy them at home.

deeply rooted
makes one 10 oz drink
1 heaping teaspoon of Freshly Grated Turmeric
1/2 oz Ginger Juice
9 oz Hearth Broth

Mix ginger juice and turmeric. Pour warm broth over.  Stir and enjoy.

spicy nonna
makes one 10 oz drink
1/2 oz roasted garlic purée
9 oz hearth broth
A dash of chili oil

Mix the above ingredients using a frother or blender.

makes one 12oz drink
1 egg yolk
11 oz organic chicken broth
Small pinch of warm spices (we recommend ground nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger)

Bring broth to a boil, then let it cool for a few minutes. If broth is too hot it will cook the yolk (which isn’t the end of the world!).

Whisk egg yolk and warm spices in a cup. Pour warm broth over, mix and enjoy.
