Bone Broth Drink Recipes

Bottomless coffee, a handful of chips, nightly ice cream, and the extra glass of wine are all too common in terms of strategies for coping with stress But is there another way? A way that isn’t an hourly trip to the pantry? We think so…it’s called a bone broth drink. Pair Brodo with a few nutritious additions and you’ve got yourself a bone broth drink. It’s an indulgent, but good for you, treat.

If you own a mortar and pestle, try using it on your herbs like parsley, turmeric, and ginger. Crushing these ingredients instead of chopping helps to release their aromatic compounds, resulting in a deeper flavor. It’ll also make you feel like a sorcerer.

SIPPING BEAUTY

It’s simple, straight-forward, and we’re always in the mood for it.

Makes 1 cup 

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, pulverized in a mortar and pestle
  • 1 wedge of lemon
  • 1 cup Brodo Chicken Broth (or your choice of Brodo)

Pour hot broth over parsley. Squeeze in lemon. Stir and enjoy.

GILLIGAN

The Gilligan will make you feel like you’re on a (healthy) vacation.  This is one of our favorites for the warmer months.  It’s flavorful, yet light.

Makes 1 cup 

  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 wedge of lime
  • 1 ounce coconut milk
  • 1 cup  Brodo Chicken Broth (or your choice of Brodo)

Pour hot broth over ginger and coconut milk.  Squeeze in lime. Stir and enjoy.

DEEPLY ROOTED

If you like turmeric, this the drink for you.  It’s a great immunity boost and its vibrant yellow hue is an instant mood lifter.

Makes 1 cup

  • 1 heaping teaspoon of freshly grated turmeric
  • 1 heaping teaspoon of freshly grated ginger
  • 1/2 ounce ginger Juice
  • 1 cup Brodo Hearth Broth (or your choice of Brodo)

Mix ginger juice and turmeric. Pour hot broth over.  Stir and enjoy.
