Brodo Baby Food: Nourish Your Little One with Real Food

When it comes to feeding your baby, we know that quality ingredients and nutrition are essential. That’s why more parents are turning to bone broth as a foundational food—especially when it’s made with the same care and culinary standards as Brodo.

As a dad himself, Chef Marco recognized the opportunity to create baby food that goes far beyond what you’ll find on supermarket shelves. Making it yourself means choosing ingredients you trust—while leaving behind fillers, concentrates, and preservatives altogether.

One of Brodo’s biggest advantages is how effortlessly it enhances the flavor of vegetables—making them more appealing, even for new solid food eaters. It also simplifies cooking, helping you put together meals that are quick, nourishing, and genuinely delicious. When you have a baby, having easy, reliable options like this isn’t just helpful—it’s essential.

And finally, our Brodo baby food recipe is designed with busy parents in mind. It uses ingredients you already have in your kitchen, it takes less than 15 minutes to prepare, it offers endless variety, and it’s very easy to make. It’s even faster than running to the grocery store to buy those tiny jars. Best yet, it makes several servings of leftovers.

Why Make Baby Food with Brodo?

Brodo brings a level of quality and care that makes it an ideal foundation for homemade baby food.

Potential benefits of using Brodo for baby food include:

Supports early nutrition: Naturally contains collagen, amino acids, and minerals

Introduces real food at an early age: Helps babies develop a taste for whole, thoughtfully prepared foods

Easy on developing systems: Warm, simple, and gentle for early digestion

Versatile base: Serve on its own or mix into purees, grains, and soft foods

More hydrating than water alone: Contains naturally occurring electrolytes

For parents looking to start their baby’s food journey with high-quality ingredients and build simple, nourishing meals, Brodo offers a clean, balanced place to begin.

What Makes Brodo Different?

Not all broths are created with babies in mind. Brodo stands apart because it’s made the same way you’d prepare food at home or in a restaurant kitchen—focused on real ingredients, careful technique, and nothing unnecessary.

Here’s what that means for baby food:

Slow-simmered in open kettles for a clean, balanced flavor that isn’t overpowering for developing taste buds

Carefully skimmed to remove impurities, resulting in a clear, gentle broth

Made from high-quality ingredients with no fillers, additives, or shortcuts

Developed by a chef and dad with decades of experience, bringing a level of care you can trust

The result is a broth that’s simple, clean, and easy to work into your baby’s meals—whether you’re serving it on its own or mixing it into purees and early foods.

Brodo Baby Food

Ingredients

  • 1 pouch Brodo
  • 1 cup vegetable of your choice (we love sweet potato, peas, carrot, and beets – but feel free to experiment!)

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut up your vegetables into smaller pieces – the smaller you chop, the faster they will cook
  2. Boil your vegetables with the Brodo in an uncovered pot until mushy- about 10 minutes. Boiling in an uncovered pot allows for some reduction and enhances the flavor.
  3. Puree in a blender or mash with a fork to desired consistency

Brodo baby food will last for up to 5 days in the refrigerator or up to a month in the freezer. We recommend freezing in individual portions using an ice cube tray or a silicone mold designed to freeze food in perfect portion sizes.
