If you’ve scrolled through Instagram or TikTok in the past few months, you may have noticed a recipe (or perhaps a dozen recipes) for hot cocoa made with bone broth.
This is not a new concept for Brodo! In fact, we got very excited to find out that it’s having a moment. We’ve been serving this beverage from our East Village window for years, and have a bit of a cult following. Hot cocoa holds a special place in our hearts and we’re very proud to serve a healthy version that holds true to the deliciousness of the milky version. Feel free to jazz it up with cinnamon, homemade whipped cream made with grassfed heavy cream, a shot of espresso, or even marshmallows.
Not only will you enjoy this sweet take on bone broth, but it’s a great way to introduce your kids to sipping it. They will likely be distracted by the sweetness of the honey and rich cocoa flavor that they won’t even realize they’re doing their health a great favor. Getting kids excited about healthy foods is one of our favorite parts of parenting. Just don’t blame us if they start putting a dent in your Brodo stash!
We know viral recipes from TikTok can sometimes fall flat. As big fans of traditional cuisine, we mostly avoid them unless of course they’re delicious and nutritious. But trust us, once you try this hot cocoa recipe you’ll be adding hot cocoa made with bone broth to your Brodo ritual!
