Recreate these iconic recipes from Brodo’s New York City bone broth shops

The Deeply Rooted

Ginger and turmeric broth blend

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger root
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • lemon wedge, squeezed
  • pat of butter*
  • 1 cup Brodo broth of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients with hot broth
  2. Blend with a buzzer or immersion blender until frothy
  3. Pour into a mug with a squeeze of lemon and enjoy!
  4. (Optional) Garnish with a sprinkle of turmeric and freshly ground black pepper

*For added protein, swap the butter for one egg yolk.

Tom Yum

Coconut milk and curry broth recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons coconut milk
  • 1/2 lime, squeezed
  • 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
  • Hot sauce, to taste
  • 1 cup Brodo broth of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients with hot broth
  2. Blend with a buzzer or immersion blender until frothy
  3. Pour into a mug and enjoy!
  4. (Optional) Garnish with a sprinkle of curry powder and lime wedge

Spicy Nonna

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of garlic, roasted
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 2 Calabrian chilis, seeds removed
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 cup Brodo broth of your choice

Instructions:

  1. To roast the garlic, cut off the top 1/4 inch to expose the individual cloves. Drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and bake at 400F for 20-25 minutes.
  2. Pulverize chilis, roasted garlic, salt, and olive oil to a paste using a mortar & pestle
  3. Combine 1 spoonful of the garlic chili paste with hot broth and blend with a buzzer or immersion blender until frothy*
  4. Pour into a mug with a drizzle of chili oil and enjoy!

*Use leftover garlic chili paste for a week’s worth of Spicy Nonna!

**Don’t have time to roast garlic or find calabrian chilis? Grate fresh garlic with your favorite hot sauce and combine with hot broth.

Tuscan Sun

Ingredients:

  • 1 garlic clove, sliced
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Zest of one lemon, grated
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil*
  • 1 cup Brodo broth of your choice

Instructions

  1. Pulverize garlic, rosemary, salt, olive oil, and lemon zest to a paste using a mortar & pestle (it’ll take some elbow grease!)
  2. Combine paste with hot broth and blend with a buzzer or immersion blender until frothy
  3. Pour into a mug with a squeeze of lemon and enjoy!

*For added healthy fat, add 1 extra tsp of olive oil.
